Spiritual Journey

~ Everyone is so afraid of death, but the real sufis just laugh: nothing tyrannizes their hearts. What strikes the oyster shell does not damage the pearl.

~ If in thirst you drink water from a cup, you see God in it. Those who are not in love with God will see only their own faces in it.

~ He (GOD) is a letter to everyone. You open it. It says, 'Live!'

~ Remember, the entrance door to the sanctuary is inside you.

~ Appear as you are, Be as you appear.

~ When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.
~ Conventional opinion is the ruin of our souls.

~ In silence there is eloquence. Stop weaving and watch how the pattern improves.

~ Patience is the key to joy.

~ Since in order to speak, one must first listen, learn to speak by listening.

~ The intelligent want self-control; children want candy.

~ To praise is to praise how one surrenders to the emptiness.

~ We rarely hear the inward music, but we're all dancing to it nevertheless.

~ Close both eyes to see with the other eye.

~ Don't grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form.

~ My friend, the sufi is the friend of the present moment. To say tomorrow is not our way.

~ Nightingales are put in cages because their songs give pleasure. Whoever heard of keeping a crow?

~ You wander from room to room
Hunting for the diamond necklace
That is already around your neck!
