कर्म करने का अधिकार

You have the right to work, but never to the fruit of work. You should never engage in action for the sake of reward, nor should you long for inaction. Perform work in this world, Arjuna, as a man established within himself – without selfish attachments, and alike in success and defeat.”

आपको कर्म करने का अधिकार है, परन्तु फल पाने का नहीं। आपको इनाम या फल पाने के लिए किसी भी क्रिया में भाग नहीं लेना चाहिए, और ना ही आपको निष्क्रियता के लिए लम्बे समय तक करना चाहिए। इस दुनिया में कार्य करें, अर्जुन, एक ऐसे आदमी जिन्होंने अपने आपको स्वयं सफल बनाया, बिना किसी स्वार्थ के और चाहे सफलता हो या हार हमेशा एक जैसे।

विवरण: अगर हम फल की आशा में कार्य करेंगे तो ना हमारे कार्य सफल हो पाएंगे और ना ही हम अपने लक्ष्य तक पहुँच पाएंगे।
